I think....I have just started wank. I quoted something from tumblr as an illustration of how some people seem to get women's issues but not class in Downton Abbey, and now they've found and screencapped my comment and stuck it on tumblr and I have just replied to them in their ask box in what is possibly the stupidest thing I have done in a while. Damn me and my inability to let other people have the last word. I really do dig my own holes.

Anyone on my f-list ever started wank? Any advice for someone who is really more of an overemotional girl from Mean Girls rather than Regina herself (no matter how much I might wish to be)? Is there a bunker I can hide in? How do I defuse this if it goes nasty (I tried to be really nice in my questions on their ask but that is probably not going to save me)?

Just, ahhhhhhhhhhh. Fuuuuuuuuu- etc etc etc. Help appreciated.

Sherlock Holmes and the Chamber of Speakeasy - Chapter 1/?

Title: Sherlock Holmes and the Chamber of Speakeasy
Fandom: Sherlock Holmes/Harry Potter crossover
Rating: G
Summary: In the autumn of the year 1865, John H. Watson begins his first year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and finds himself having to contend with three very bizarre friends, a prankster brother, an opened Chamber of Secrets, a carrot, and an odd boy named Sherlock Holmes.

This fanfic has previously gone up once before, on my sister's ffnet account, but I have decided it is time to take credit for my own slightly demented imaginings.

So, without further ado, I present:

Hero and Leander, or How I Learned To Stop Worrying And Love Christopher Marlowe

 Dear Journal,

A trite opening, I know, but I honestly can't think how else I can write in here apart from in informal as hell language (colloquial already, see?) and in rather clichéd phrases. But I digress. I am here, journal, to say that I am in love. With Marlowe's 'Hero and Leander', no less, or, more specifically, its gorgeous, wonderful, amazing rhyme scheme and meter. Iambic pentameter AND heroic couplets, sustained almost throughout the ENITRE poem? Christopher Marlowe, you are proclaimed my newest 'Knight of the Order of the Most Wonderful Poetry' in my heart.

So, really the main purpose of me having this journal is so I can lurk to my hearts content on ontd_downton*, and occasionally stan for Sherlock Holmes, Doctor Who, Lord Peter Wimsey, Harry Potter, Star Trek et al on various places.

*that is if they let me join, oh god all I want to do is feel feelings about Thomas and Sybil/Branson and Lady Mary, amazing woman extraordinare and oh, everything.
